ABOUT
I have regretted letting my last website go. So, here I am again - with a brand new site.

I have started my site again with mammals. It was mammals, in particular otters, which inspired me to video and them photograph wildlife. So, under the banner of MAMMALS, I have created 5 drop-down Galleries - namely Eurasian Otters, European Beaver, Iberian Lynx, and (Iberian) Brown Bears. The last Gallery I have called the Best of the Rest.

Then, under the banner of BIRDS, I have included 3 drop-down Galleries for Birds of Prey & Owls, Birds of Water and, again, the Best of the Rest.

The 3 Galleries of BIRDS roughly follow the Voous order as in most Bird Guides. For MAMMALS, having no Voous system that I know of, I have roughly gone for reducing size but ending with Dolphins, Porpoises, Basking Sharks., Minke Whale, Salmon and Trout.

The main MAMMAL and BIRD sections just include European wildlife. For my wildlife photos from further afar, I have produced a separate heading called PHOTO ALBUMS - click on this and, at the moment, there are 3 Albums from TANZANIA 2016, SRI LANKA 2017 and INDIA 2018.

RECENT POSTS is hopefully self-explanatory. I will post recent images before putting the into the mail Galleries

BLOG, I hope, is also self-explanatory.

If you want to enlarge any images, just 'Click' on them. This will also allow you to view all the images in their enlarged mode with the horizontal arrows.

I still do not really consider myself a photographer. My camera is normally set on automatic - I might play with speeds if I have time. However, there are many reasons for enjoying taking wildlife photographs It is certainly much more than just having a record - you can buy postcards with much better images.

There is the thrill of the hunt with the camera button being the trigger. I don't actually enjoy Wildlife Documentaries anymore as the buzz from the 'hunt' is missing. There is also the 'I was there' emotion. My pictures will always be reminder - I can virtually remember the story behind every picture that I have taken.

I do regret not having been more interested in wildlife sooner - starting at 50ish takes a lot of catching up. I also regret leaving flowers and butterflies even later. One day, I might even regret a total lack of enthusiasm for gulls!
